  3. Here's some speed reports from Bad Mood v1.92alpha.

  22. Theese are still very unreliable numbers, as the lower
  23. resolution modes for the VGA isn't what they should
  24. be yet. The 160 width will be improved, as it is now, 
  25. it does "software" doubling of the pixels, still writing
  26. twice as much data as needed. However, the 100/120 height 
  27. VGA modes will be slower, as no "software" linedoubling
  28. is made yet (no real possibility do it hardware either I'm
  29. afraid). For MultiSyncs however, tomorrow seems bright, as
  30. it will feature a real 160*100 mode. Faster than 160*100
  31. in the table above, since the software doubling of X pixels
  32. will be gone, and no need to software doubling of Y pixels.

  34. On the RGB side, there's also some positive sides;
  35. None of the resolutions so far use the 25mhz videl mode,
  36. giving another 20% less pixels. This will give us higher
  37. framerates still using the same screenarea, but with
  38. slightly larger pixels.

  41. Now, ofcourse we can't go on forever adding a button on the kbd
  42. for each "detailmode", but a good resolution selector would
  43. be preferable, only we could get some sources soon. :)
